Description
The Aurex is a 570mm vertical wall light built around a slim panel of natural Spanish alabaster, framed by a rounded matte black surround. An integrated LED behind the stone casts warm 3000K light through the alabaster, picking out the mineral veining and tonal cloudiness that runs through each panel. The fitting projects 80mm from the wall and measures 150mm wide, giving a tall, slender silhouette suited to vertical wall surfaces.
Designed as an architectural wall light rather than a task fitting, the Aurex suits hallways, stairwells, bedside positions and bathroom-adjacent corridors where a soft, even glow is wanted without glare. The vertical orientation works well in pairs flanking a doorway, mirror or bed, and the 570mm height fills wall space that would otherwise look bare beside a single short sconce. Hard-wired to 230V mains, with concealed fixings that read as a single unified form once installed.
Each alabaster panel is cut from natural stone, so veining patterns, translucency and tonal variation differ between individual pieces — no two Aurex sconces light identically. The matte black frame is finished to absorb stray light, reinforcing the contrast between the dark perimeter and the warm illuminated stone. Junctions between the alabaster and the frame are kept tight, with carefully dressed edges that avoid the gappy appearance of cheaper alabaster sconces.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Aurex take?
The Aurex uses an integrated LED, so there is no replaceable bulb. The LED runs at 3000K (warm white) on 230V mains and is built into the body of the fitting behind the alabaster panel.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
An IP rating is not specified for the Aurex, so it is intended for general indoor use rather than bathroom zones. For bathroom installation, please contact us before ordering to confirm whether this fitting is suitable for your specific zone.
Will the alabaster panel match my other Aurex sconce?
Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. Pairs and sets will share the same character but no two panels light identically — this is a feature of the natural stone.
How is the Aurex installed?
The fitting is hard-wired to a 230V mains supply and fixed to the wall via concealed mounting points behind the body. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
