Description

This is the Arid wall light tile, a flat aluminium panel 20cm wide and 30cm tall in a Textured Grey Blue finish. Its face is worked in fine vertical fluting, so the tile reads as a piece of quiet surface relief on the wall rather than a plain backing plate. It is not a light on its own: it is made to fit an Arid wall light, sold separately, which supplies the light itself, while the tile is the decorative face that goes with it. We offer it in four positions, Central, Right, Left and Neutral, so you can choose the ones your layout calls for.

We see it working best where a wall light is meant to be looked at as well as read by: either side of a bed, along a hallway or landing, beside a fireplace or across a dining room wall. Textured Grey Blue is a cool, muted colour that sits easily with white or warm plaster, pale timber, brass details and natural linen, and it suits a calm modern scheme just as well as an older house with deep colour on its walls. It is for indoor use, so keep it to dry rooms such as living rooms, bedrooms, studies and hallways, where it can bring a little texture to a plain stretch of wall.
