Description

The Arid A/03 is a slim wall light in a Textured White finish, made from aluminium and stainless steel. A ribbed vertical back plate sits flat to the wall, and a single fine tube crosses it at an angle, sending a soft pool of light from its tip. It is 20cm tall and projects just 5.5cm from the wall, so it keeps a low profile in a tight space. The light source is an integrated LED of 2.1W giving 360 lumens at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so colours and skin tones look natural and there is never a bulb to buy or change.

We think it is most at home beside a bed, where its light falls in a soft pool on a book or a bedside table rather than across the whole room, and a pair either side of a headboard looks neat and balanced. It suits a living room just as well, next to a reading chair or along the wall behind a sofa, and in a dining room a row of them adds a warm glow to the walls once the main lights are switched off. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

It is made from aluminium and stainless steel, and the Textured White finish has a fine, slightly grainy surface that sits well with the crisp ribs of the back plate. The design is by Nahtrang Studio. Because it projects only 5.5cm, it stays out of the way beside a bed or a favourite chair, where a deeper fitting might catch a shoulder. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician, after which it simply needs switching on.
