Description

The Arcus is a 3m aluminium corner profile designed to house LED strip lighting in a 90-degree angle installation, either where two walls meet or where a wall meets a ceiling. The profile measures 16mm on one face and 18mm on the other, with a powder-coated white finish on the exterior and a frosted polycarbonate diffuser that clips into the channel to protect the LED strip and diffuse the light output.

Designed for recessed corner installations in kitchens, corridors, retail displays and office fit-outs, the Arcus mounts directly onto the wall or ceiling surface using screws or adhesive (fixings not included). The asymmetric 16x18mm cross-section allows the profile to sit flush in corners where the two meeting surfaces may not be perfectly square. Once the LED strip is installed inside the channel and the diffuser is clipped in, the installation presents as a continuous line of light running the length of the corner.

The aluminium extrusion acts as a heat sink, drawing heat away from the LED strip and prolonging the lifespan of the LEDs. The white powder coating hides the profile against white or light-coloured walls and ceilings, while the frosted diffuser softens hotspots from individual LED chips and creates a more uniform light output along the length of the run. The 3m length can be cut to size on site using a hacksaw or mitre saw, and multiple profiles can be joined end-to-end to create longer runs.

What width of LED strip does the profile accept?

The internal channel width accommodates LED strips up to approximately 10-12mm wide, which covers most standard 12V and 24V flexible LED strip products. Measure your strip before ordering to confirm fit.

Can the profile be cut to length?

Yes. The 3m aluminium extrusion can be cut to any required length using a hacksaw or powered mitre saw. Cut ends should be deburred before installing the diffuser and LED strip.

How is the diffuser secured?

The frosted polycarbonate diffuser clips into the front edge of the aluminium channel once the LED strip is in place. It can be removed and re-clipped for maintenance or replacement of the LED strip.

Does the profile include the LED strip?

No. The Arcus profile is sold as an extrusion housing only. LED strip, power supply, connectors and mounting fixings are sold separately.
