Description

The Arcus is a 2m aluminium corner profile designed to house LED strip lighting in 90° corner junctions between walls and ceilings or between two walls. The 31x31mm cross-section gives a square profile that sits flush against both surfaces, with an internal channel for the LED strip and a frosted diffuser cover that sits across the corner opening to soften the light output.

Designed for both residential and commercial installations where continuous corner lighting is needed, the profile is surface-mounted using fixings through the aluminium body at intervals along the 2m length. Typical applications include cove lighting along ceiling perimeters, accent lighting in alcoves, under-cabinet lighting where wall meets worktop, and architectural lighting lines in hospitality or retail interiors. The profile accepts LED strip widths up to approximately 12mm, with the exact strip compatibility depending on the strip's backing width and the position of the diodes.

The anodised aluminium body acts as a heat sink for the LED strip, helping to extend the strip's lifespan by dissipating heat away from the diodes. The frosted polycarbonate diffuser slides into grooves on both open edges of the profile, creating a continuous diffused light line without visible hotspots from individual LEDs. The profile can be cut to length on site using a hacksaw or mitre saw, allowing it to be fitted precisely to room dimensions without wastage. Multiple 2m lengths can be joined end-to-end using aluminium joining strips or corner connectors (sold separately) to create continuous runs around entire room perimeters.

What width LED strip does it take?

The internal channel accepts LED strip widths up to approximately 12mm. Most standard 10mm and 12mm-wide LED strips fit comfortably. Measure your specific strip before ordering, as very wide strips or strips with components protruding from the backing may not fit.

Can it be cut to length?

Yes. The aluminium profile can be cut to any length shorter than 2m using a hacksaw or a mitre saw with a metal-cutting blade. Cut ends should be deburred with a file before fitting the diffuser.

How is it mounted?

The profile is surface-mounted by drilling through the aluminium body at intervals along the length and fixing it to both surfaces with screws and wall plugs. The diffuser cover is then clipped into place over the LED strip once the strip is installed in the channel.

Can multiple profiles be joined?

Yes. Multiple 2m lengths can be joined end-to-end using aluminium joining strips or corner connectors. These accessories are sold separately and allow continuous LED runs around entire room perimeters without visible gaps.
