Description

The Arcus is a 2m aluminium extrusion profile cover in black, with a 16x15mm cross-section designed to house and protect LED strip tape installations. The cover clips or slides onto a compatible mounting channel (sold separately), enclosing the LED strip behind an aluminium fascia that shields it from dust, contact damage and moisture in dry indoor environments.

Designed for under-cabinet kitchen lighting, shelf edge detail, cove lighting in hallways and commercial display cases, the Arcus profile provides both mechanical protection and a cleaner visual finish than exposed LED tape. The black powder-coated finish suits contemporary kitchens, retail displays and architectural installations where the profile itself is visible. The 2m length can be cut to size on-site using a hacksaw or mitre saw.

The aluminium construction acts as a passive heatsink, helping to dissipate heat from the LED strip and extend the operational life of the LEDs. The 16mm width accommodates standard 10-12mm LED strip tape with some clearance for cable routing. The black finish absorbs rather than reflects light, making the profile itself recede visually while the light output from the strip remains the focus.

No. The Arcus is designed for dry indoor installations. It provides mechanical protection and dust shielding but is not sealed against water ingress and carries no IP rating for wet or outdoor environments.
