Description

The Arcus is a 3m aluminium LED corner profile designed to house and protect LED strip lighting in corner installations where walls meet at 90 degrees. The 31x31mm triangular section mounts directly to wall surfaces and accepts LED strips up to 10mm wide inside the channel, with a translucent diffuser cover clipping over the front to conceal the strip and soften the light output.

Designed for corner uplighting, architectural accent lighting and cove lighting in residential and commercial spaces, the Arcus fits into internal corners where traditional wall-mounted profiles cannot reach. The aluminium body acts as a heat sink to dissipate warmth from the LED strip, extending strip lifespan and preventing thermal degradation of adhesive backing. The 3m length can be cut to size on site using a hacksaw or metal-cutting blade.

The surface-mount design requires no routing or recessing into plasterboard, making it suitable for retrofit installations and rental properties where permanent alteration is undesirable. The white powder-coated aluminium finish blends into typical ceiling and cornice contexts, and the profile carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux. LED strips, drivers and diffusers are sold separately and must be specified to match the profile width and intended light output.

What LED strip width does it accept?

The internal channel accepts LED strips up to 10mm wide. Strips wider than 10mm will not fit inside the profile. The strip must be specified separately to match the profile length and intended brightness.

Does it come with a diffuser?

The Arcus profile includes the aluminium channel and mounting clips. The translucent diffuser cover is typically supplied with the profile but check the product listing or contact us to confirm inclusion before ordering.

Can it be cut to size?

Yes. The 3m aluminium extrusion can be cut to any length on site using a hacksaw, mitre saw with metal-cutting blade, or angle grinder. Deburr the cut edge before inserting the LED strip.

How is it mounted?

The profile mounts to the corner using screws or adhesive through pre-drilled holes or the flat backing surface. For plasterboard walls, use appropriate fixings rated for the profile weight and ensure the corner is clean and dry before mounting.
