Description

The Arcus is a 2-metre aluminium corner profile designed to house LED strip lighting in a 16x18mm angled channel. The profile mounts directly to corner junctions between walls or between wall and ceiling, with the aluminium body acting as both mechanical protection and heat sink for the LED strip. A snap-fit frosted diffuser cover runs the full length of the profile, softening the point-source LEDs into a continuous line of light.

Used in hallways, staircases, kitchen pelmets, and commercial shopfitting where indirect or cove lighting is needed without recessing into plasterboard, the Arcus provides a surface-mount alternative to cutting chases. The profile accepts LED strip up to 10mm wide (strip sold separately) and the white powder-coat finish blends into white or light-painted ceilings and walls. The 2m length can be cut to size on-site with a hacksaw or mitre saw.

The extruded aluminium section dissipates heat from the LED strip more efficiently than plastic channels, extending LED lifespan and maintaining consistent light output. The frosted polycarbonate diffuser clips into grooves on both edges of the profile and can be removed for cleaning or strip replacement without dismounting the entire fitting. End caps are included to close the profile at cut points or terminations.

What width LED strip does it take?

The 16x18mm internal channel accepts LED strip up to 10mm wide. Most standard 12V and 24V LED strip tapes (typically 8-10mm wide) fit without issue. Verify your strip width before ordering.

Is the profile supplied with end caps and diffuser?

Yes. The Arcus includes a frosted polycarbonate diffuser cover and plastic end caps. The LED strip itself is sold separately and must be specified to match your installation voltage and light output requirements.

Can it be cut to length?

Yes. The 2m aluminium extrusion can be cut with a hacksaw or mitre saw to fit the exact corner length needed. Cut edges should be deburred before fitting the end caps.

How is it mounted?

The profile has pre-drilled screw holes along its length for direct fixing to the corner junction with screws and wall plugs. Adhesive backing tape can supplement the mechanical fixing on clean, flat surfaces but screws are recommended for primary retention.
