Description

The Aperta video door entry kit pairs a 7" colour TFT hands-free monitor with an IP55-rated outdoor camera station in a black finish. The kit runs on a simple 2-core cable installation, with a single 24V power supply (included) supporting the monitor, outdoor station and up to three additional monitors or cameras in expandable configurations.

Designed for residential front doors, gates and shared entrance halls, the system provides two-way audio between the outdoor station and the indoor monitor, along with door release control via a relay output. The outdoor camera captures a high-resolution colour picture in daylight and switches to infrared night vision in low light. The 7" monitor screen remains hands-free, so the call can be answered and the door released without picking up a handset.

The outdoor station measures 240mm high and carries an IP55 rating, protecting against dust ingress and water jets from any direction — suitable for installation in covered porches, under canopies or on rain-sheltered walls. The monitor mounts to an internal wall via a bracket included in the kit. The black finish on both units provides a neutral appearance that pairs with most door hardware and interior colour schemes.

What cable is needed for installation?

The kit uses a simple 2-core cable between the outdoor station and the indoor monitor. Standard doorbell cable or low-voltage 2-core alarm cable is suitable. The power supply connects to mains at the monitor end, so no additional wiring is required at the outdoor station.

Can additional monitors or cameras be added?

Yes. The single 24V power supply included in the kit supports up to five devices in total, in any combination of monitors and outdoor stations. Additional Aperta monitors and camera stations are sold separately.

Does the outdoor camera work at night?

The outdoor station includes infrared LEDs that switch on automatically in low light, providing night vision on the monitor screen. The camera captures a colour image in daylight and switches to black-and-white infrared mode after dark.

Is the outdoor station weatherproof?

The outdoor camera carries an IP55 rating, protecting against dust and water jets from any direction. It is suitable for installation in covered porches, under canopies or on walls sheltered from direct rain. For fully exposed positions, consider adding a rain hood or canopy above the unit.
