Description
The Aperta Trades Entry Button combines a stainless steel IP66-rated push button on a single-gang fascia with a Sangamo 71111 DIN rail timer module. The button provides normally open and normally closed contacts, allowing it to trigger timed access control systems, gate releases, or trade entrance door strikes. The timer module mounts on a standard 35mm DIN rail inside the electrical enclosure.
Designed for external trade entrances, delivery bays, and service access points where temporary timed unlocking is needed, the system allows authorised personnel to press the button and hold the door or gate open for a pre-set duration (programmed on the timer) before the lock automatically re-engages. The IP66 rating on the push button protects against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets, making it suitable for exposed outdoor locations.
The stainless steel fascia is supplied with a surface-mount back box and security screws that require a specialist bit to remove, reducing the risk of tampering. The fascia is engraved 'TRADES' in black-filled lettering, making the button's purpose immediately clear to delivery drivers and contractors. The Sangamo timer module provides programmable switching options and supports both normally open and normally closed contacts depending on wiring configuration.

Frequently Asked
What's included in the box?
The kit includes the stainless steel single-gang fascia with 'TRADES' engraving, IP66-rated push button, surface-mount back box, security screws, and the Sangamo 71111 DIN timer module. The timer mounts separately on a DIN rail inside your electrical enclosure.
How is the timer duration set?
The Sangamo 71111 timer module has a digital display and four control buttons allowing you to programme switch-on and switch-off times, pulse duration, or countdown modes. Refer to the Product Manual linked above for detailed programming instructions.
Can it be used on gates as well as doors?
Yes. The normally open and normally closed contacts allow the button to trigger electric gate releases, door strikes, magnetic locks, or barrier motors, depending on how your access control system is wired.
Is the push button weatherproof?
The push button carries an IP66 rating, meaning it's protected against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets. It's suitable for outdoor installation in exposed locations including trade entrances, delivery bays, and external service doors.
