The Aperta EZT3KXT is a complete single-door access control system built around an IP65-rated proximity keypad with integrated card reader, supplied with a 300kg holding force magnetic lock, boxed power supply, IP55 mushroom exit button, and IP67 green emergency call point. The system arrives ready to install on outdoor doors requiring keypad and proximity tag entry with emergency exit control.

Designed for external installations on residential gates, commercial entrance doors, service doors and secure access points where weather protection is required, the IP65 keypad withstands rain, dust and UK outdoor conditions. The included 300kg magnetic lock provides holding force sufficient for standard single doors up to 100kg, while the Z and L brackets allow fitting to both inward and outward-opening doors. The mushroom exit button mounts inside the secure zone and allows authorised exit without requiring a code or tag.

The keypad accepts user-programmed PIN codes and reads the ten included proximity tags at distances up to 50mm, allowing entry by presenting the tag to the reader panel without physical contact. The IP68 power supply unit sits indoors and provides regulated 12V DC output to the lock and control circuit. The green emergency call point integrates fire exit and emergency override functionality, breaking the magnetic lock circuit when pressed to allow immediate exit during emergencies.

All components in the kit are manufactured by ESP under the Aperta brand and carry matching silver finishes on the external hardware. The system requires mains power to the indoor power supply and low-voltage wiring between the PSU, keypad, lock and exit controls. Installation involves mounting the keypad at the external door frame, fitting the magnetic lock to the door and frame using the supplied brackets, and wiring the circuit according to the included manual.

Can the keypad be used outdoors?
