Description

The Aperta is a 7-inch TFT colour video door monitor designed for wired door entry systems, operating on 24V and connecting to compatible door stations via simple 2-core cable. The monitor displays live video from the door station when a visitor presses the call button, and includes on-screen menu controls for adjusting volume, brightness and system settings directly from the unit.

Designed for residential properties, small office buildings and holiday lets where visual verification of callers is needed, the monitor mounts on an internal wall within line-of-sight distance from the main entrance. The 2-core cable installation simplifies retrofit into properties where multi-core cabling would be impractical. The white casing is a 200mm square with a 40mm depth projection from the wall once fitted.

The monitor includes a 4GB SD card for optional still image or video recording of callers, allowing review of who called while the property was unoccupied. Recordings are accessed through the on-screen playback menu and stored chronologically by date and time. The TFT screen provides clear colour picture resolution in daylight and low-light conditions, depending on the door station's camera capability.

The Aperta monitor operates on 24V supplied by the door entry system's power supply unit. It cannot run directly from mains voltage and requires a compatible 24V transformer or PSU.

What cable is needed for installation?

A simple 2-core cable connects the monitor to the door station. This makes retrofit installation easier than multi-core systems, as the cable can be run through standard conduit or trunking.

Does it record callers automatically?

Recording is optional and must be enabled through the on-screen menu. When activated, the monitor records still images or video clips to the included 4GB SD card, which can be reviewed later through the playback menu.
