Description

The ESP Aperta APMONB is a 7" TFT colour video door entry monitor housed in a black surface-mount casing, designed to pair with ESP Aperta single-way or multi-way door entry systems. The monitor displays live colour video from an exterior camera panel and supports two-way audio communication with visitors at the door. Four capacitive touch buttons below the screen control video viewing, door release, audio mute and call termination.

Built for residential and light commercial installations, the monitor operates on 24V DC and mounts directly to an internal wall via rear fixings. The screen dimensions of 215mm width by 152mm height give enough display area to identify visitors clearly without dominating smaller hallway spaces. Cable runs of up to 150 metres are supported when using CAT5e cable (requiring only two cores of the four pairs), making the system suitable for larger properties and multi-floor buildings where the entrance panel sits a significant distance from the internal monitor.

The black casing provides a neutral finish that pairs with most interior colour schemes without drawing attention, while the 7" TFT screen delivers higher resolution than earlier analogue video entry systems. The monitor draws 350mA during active video calls and returns to standby when idle. Operating temperature range is rated from -20°C to +40°C, covering typical UK interior conditions and unheated entrance halls during winter.

What cable type is needed for installation?

The monitor works with standard CAT5e cable, using just two of the four twisted pairs. Cable runs up to 150 metres are supported with 24AWG CAT5e. Shorter runs can use lower-spec cable, but CAT5e is recommended for reliability and future-proofing.

Is this compatible with other video door entry systems?

The APMONB is designed specifically for ESP Aperta single-way and multi-way systems. It will not work with door entry systems from other manufacturers or with generic analogue video entry panels.

How is the monitor powered?

The monitor operates on 24V DC and draws 350mA during video calls. Power is typically supplied from a central PSU that also powers the exterior camera panel, simplifying the wiring by carrying both power and signal over the same cable run.

Can multiple monitors be connected to one door panel?

Yes, when paired with an Aperta multi-way system. Multiple monitors can be wired to a single exterior panel, allowing video door entry calls to be answered from different rooms or floors within the property.
