Description

The Adamas floor lamp sets a single Forest Green glass shade at the top of a slim stem. It is 180cm tall overall and stands on a round base 28.5cm across. The glass is 33cm tall and 23.6cm across and softly rounded. A honeycomb pattern around its upper part catches the light, and the lower part beneath is smooth. Inside sits an integrated LED, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It draws 11W and gives 746 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so colours in the room look natural rather than flat.

We see it in a living room, beside a sofa or an armchair, or filling a quiet corner where a ceiling light leaves shadow. At 180cm it carries the glass well above seated eye level, and its slender form tucks in beside furniture without crowding it. It is dimmable with a push, so you can bring it down to a low glow in the evening or keep it bright for reading. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is made for indoor use.

The finish comes in matt black or brushed brass. Matt black gives a crisp, dark line that lets the Forest Green glass stand out. Brushed brass adds a warmer glint that suits wood, cream and other soft tones. Whichever you choose, the slim stem keeps the lamp light to the eye, and the round base gives it a neat footprint. It runs at 230V and plugs in, so it can stand wherever you have a socket within reach. Because the LED is built in, there is nothing to fit before you switch it on. It has a plug on its cable, and we include a UK adaptor in the box, so it is ready for a UK socket. Our photographs show the matt black version.
