Description

The Adamas 23 is a table lamp with a single Forest Green glass shade, softly rounded like a lantern, threaded on a slim rod above a round base. The top half of the glass is cut all over into a honeycomb of small facets, and the bottom half is left clear, so the green reads deep at the top and light below. Inside is an integrated LED of 11W giving 746lm at 2700K, with a CRI of 90, so colours in the room look true, and because the LED is built in, it needs no bulb. The lamp stands 44.8cm tall; the glass is 22.5cm across and 23cm tall, and the base is 10.4cm across and 7.9cm tall.

It suits a bedroom or a living room, at a height that sits comfortably on a bedside table, a sideboard or a console. The 2700K light is a warm, gentle one for the evening, and the lamp is dimmable by push, so you can bring it down low for a quiet glow or keep it brighter for reading. It is a plug-in lamp running at 230V, so it needs no wiring in and can move from room to room as you need it. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

We offer the rod and base in Matt Black or Brushed Brass: the black gives a crisp, graphic line against the green, while the brass brings a warmer glow to the same glass. Whichever you choose, the faceted upper half of the shade catches the light across its honeycomb, and through the clear lower half you can see the slim rod run down to the base. The LED is built in, so there is nothing to change. As a practical note, set it on a steady surface where the glass shade will not be knocked. It has a plug on its cable, and we include a UK adaptor in the box, so it is ready for a UK socket. Our photographs show the matt black version.
