The Knightsbridge 45A DP switch with neon indicator is a 1-gang cooker control switch rated for double-pole isolation of cooking appliances drawing up to 45A at 230V (approximately 10,350W). The red neon indicator above the rocker illuminates when the switch is in the on position, providing visible confirmation that the circuit is live.

Designed for kitchen installation where a cooker, hob or separate oven requires a dedicated isolation switch, the 45A rating handles both standard electric cookers and higher-draw induction hobs without requiring a separate cooker control unit. The double-pole switching isolates both the live and neutral lines when turned off, allowing safe maintenance or disconnection of the appliance without needing to isolate the consumer unit. The switch fits a 47mm minimum depth back box and mounts within a single-gang aperture, making it suitable for replacement of existing 1-gang switches.

The premium-grade steel faceplate is finished in brushed brass with a warm gold tone and horizontal grain that softens reflections. The ultra-low 2.5mm projection from the wall once fitted gives a discreet profile, and the built-in gasket behind the faceplate improves resistance to dust and moisture ingress around the rocker mechanism. The brushed finish pairs with traditional, classical and warm-toned kitchen schemes where polished brass would feel too reflective.
