Description

The Knightsbridge BA03B3MW is a 3-light track spotlight bar with three adjustable GU10 fittings mounted on a 500mm matt white pressed steel bar. Each spotlight head rotates 350° and tilts 90°, allowing light to be directed independently to different zones within a room. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes, making the bar suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, as well as kitchens and utility rooms.

Designed for both ceiling and wall mounting, the bar works as task lighting over bathroom mirrors, as accent lighting in hallways, or as directional lighting in kitchens where multiple work zones need independent illumination. The 500mm bar length suits spaces between 2.5m and 4m wide, with each 55mm diameter spotlight head projecting 125mm from the mounting surface when angled forward.

The pressed steel construction with a smooth matt white powder-coated finish pairs with white ceilings and modern bathroom fittings without visual clutter. Each spotlight takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 20W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen, or smart bulbs depending on the required brightness and colour temperature. The clear glass front on each head focuses light output without diffusion, producing a defined beam suitable for task lighting rather than ambient wash.

What bathroom zones is this IP44 rating suitable for?

IP44 provides protection against water splashes from any direction, making this spotlight bar suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3. It is not rated for zone 0 (inside baths or shower enclosures) or zone 1 (directly above baths or shower trays). In practice, it works well mounted on a bathroom ceiling above the sink or as wall-mounted task lighting beside a mirror.

Can the spotlight heads be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Each head rotates 350° on its base and tilts 90° from horizontal to near-vertical, allowing you to redirect light as room use changes. The adjustment joints hold their position under the weight of a standard GU10 bulb without drift.

What GU10 bulbs are recommended?

The fitting accepts any GU10 bulb up to 20W maximum. For bathroom use, a 5-7W warm white LED GU10 at 2700K-3000K provides good task lighting over a mirror without glare. For kitchens, a cooler 4000K daylight white bulb works better for food preparation zones. Bulbs are sold separately.

Is this dimmable?

Dimming capability depends on the bulb you fit. If you install dimmable GU10 LED bulbs and wire the fitting through a compatible LED dimmer switch, the fixture will dim. Standard non-dimmable LED bulbs will not respond to a dimmer and may flicker or fail if connected to one.
