3 Gang Grid Faceplate - Brushed Chrome

The Knightsbridge 3-gang grid faceplate is a 149mm x 89mm brushed chrome plate designed to accept three modular grid inserts. Unlike fixed sockets or switches, the grid system allows each position to be fitted with a choice of switch, socket, data port, dimmer or blank module depending on the application. The faceplate pairs with a separate GDF002F grid frame (sold separately) which clips into the back box and holds the individual grid modules in place.

Designed for residential, commercial and hospitality installation where flexibility is needed, grid systems allow precise control over outlet configuration without requiring multiple faceplates. A single 3-gang faceplate can hold combinations such as two switched sockets and a dimmer, or a socket, a data port and a USB charger, all behind one uniform finish. The brushed chrome surface matches Knightsbridge's Square Edge range, making it suitable for installations where consistency across an entire room or building is required.

The faceplate is constructed from premium-grade steel with a directional brushed finish that reduces fingerprints and provides a mid-tone metallic accent between polished chrome and satin nickel. At 10.5mm projection from the wall once installed, the faceplate sits flush with typical wall finishes without creating a stepped profile. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations away from direct water contact.

Knightsbridge grid systems are modular only within the Knightsbridge range — grid inserts from other manufacturers will not fit this faceplate. The system requires careful specification at design stage to ensure the correct number of faceplates, frames and inserts are ordered for each outlet position.

What grid inserts does this faceplate accept?

The faceplate accepts any Knightsbridge modular grid insert designed for the Grid Plus range, including switches, sockets, dimmers, USB ports, data outlets and blank plates. Each faceplate requires one GDF002F grid frame (sold separately) to hold the inserts in place.

Can I use grid inserts from other brands?

No. Knightsbridge grid systems use proprietary dimensions and clip mechanisms. Only Knightsbridge grid modules will fit this faceplate correctly.

What back box is required?

A standard 25mm minimum back box is required for most grid configurations. Deeper back boxes (35mm or 47mm) may be needed if the inserts include dimmer modules or sockets with USB ports, depending on the total wiring depth behind the plate.

Does this come with the grid inserts or frame?

No. The faceplate is sold separately. You will need to order one GDF002F grid frame and three individual grid inserts (switches, sockets, dimmers, data outlets or blanks) to complete the assembly.
