Description

The Knightsbridge LEDRACON is a 24V DC right angle connector designed to link two LED flat striplights together at a 90° corner. The connector houses two metal BNC-style push-fit terminals on its input and output faces, allowing flat striplight cable to be inserted and locked without tools. The PVC body measures 57mm x 38mm with a 9mm projection from the mounting surface.

Designed for internal corners in under-cabinet lighting, shelving runs, and display case installations where the LED strip needs to turn a corner without cutting and re-wiring. The connector accepts Knightsbridge's 24V DC flat striplight cable directly, maintaining electrical continuity through the bend. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations away from moisture.

The grey PVC body is injection-moulded with three mounting tabs that allow the connector to be screwed to a cabinet underside or shelf edge using small wood screws (not included). The Class III rating confirms double-insulated construction suitable for 24V DC low-voltage circuits. Each connector adds approximately 57mm to the total strip run length where it's installed, so account for this when measuring corner sections.

Is this compatible with all LED striplights?

No. This connector is designed specifically for Knightsbridge's 24V DC flat striplight cable with BNC-style push-fit terminals. It will not work with standard 12V or 230V LED strip, or with strip that uses different connector types. Check the striplight specification before ordering.

Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector offers no protection against moisture or water ingress. It is suitable for dry indoor locations only, such as under-cabinet lighting in kitchens (away from sinks), wardrobes, and shelving.

How is it mounted?

The connector has three mounting tabs with pre-drilled holes. Small wood screws (not included) can be used to fix the connector to a cabinet underside, shelf edge, or other mounting surface before the striplight cable is inserted.

Does it reduce the light output at the corner?

The connector itself does not produce light. It maintains electrical continuity between two sections of LED striplight, so the light output at the corner depends on the LED density of the striplight being used. There is no electrical loss through the connector under normal operating conditions.
