Description

The Knightsbridge GDM007BB is a 20AX 2-way single pole key module marked 'EMG LTG TEST' in brushed brass, designed for manual testing of emergency lighting circuits. The module clips into Knightsbridge grid mounting frames from the front without removing the frame from the wall, allowing modules to be added or changed after initial installation. A removable key operates the switch, preventing unauthorised testing.

Primarily used in commercial, hospitality and public buildings where emergency lighting systems require periodic manual testing to meet BS 5266 compliance, the key-operated control ensures only designated staff can initiate test cycles. The 2-way configuration allows the module to be used in simple on/off switching or as part of a 2-way circuit controlled from multiple locations. The 20AX rating handles loads up to 4,600W on 230V mains, suitable for testing circuits feeding multiple emergency fittings.

The module measures 56.3mm high by 24.8mm wide and requires a minimum 35mm back box depth when fitted into a grid frame. The brushed brass finish on the face plate provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with traditional and contemporary interiors where visible electrical accessories are specified to match door furniture or other fittings. The switch mechanism is housed in ABS and steel construction rated IP20 for indoor dry locations.
