Description

The Knightsbridge 20A 1-gang double pole switch controls fixed appliances such as immersion heaters, water heaters and electric showers behind a brushed brass flat plate faceplate. The double pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the switch is off, providing the isolation required for higher-powered appliances rated up to 4,600W on 230V mains.

The flat plate construction sits just 2.5mm proud of the wall, with a built-in gasket that seals against the mounting surface to create a continuous finish and prevent debris entering behind the plate. The switch fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and uses visible brass fixing screws that match the plate finish. The rocker itself is brushed brass to match the faceplate, creating a monochromatic finish.

Brushed brass provides a warm metallic accent that suits traditional, period and contemporary warm-toned interiors. The linear brushed texture softens reflections compared to polished finishes. Rated to EN 60669-1 and backed by a 25-year warranty, the switch uses premium-grade steel construction with an IP20 rating for dry indoor installation in kitchens, bathrooms (outside splash zones) and utility rooms.
