Description

The Knightsbridge 2-gang surface box is a polished chrome polycarbonate housing designed to mount 2-gang screwless and flat plate switches or sockets onto walls where flush back boxes cannot be installed. The 32mm depth provides clearance for standard terminal connections and cable runs behind the accessory faceplate.

Used where surface mounting is needed rather than flush installation, the box suits solid walls without chased-out back boxes, tiled surfaces, or retrofit installations where cutting into the wall is impractical. The box mounts directly to the wall surface using fixings through pre-drilled holes, and the accessory faceplate then fixes to the front of the box using the same screw positions as a standard back box.

The polished chrome finish matches Knightsbridge's polished chrome screwless and flat plate accessory ranges, giving a coordinated appearance between the surface box and the faceplate. The polycarbonate construction is impact-resistant and carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry indoor locations. The box measures 152.5mm wide by 92.5mm high with a 34mm projection from the wall once installed.
