Description
The Knightsbridge 2-gang modular faceplate is an 89mm square brushed chrome plate designed to house euro module inserts for custom DATA, HDMI, USB, TV aerial, or telephone installations. The plate accepts two 25 x 50mm euro modules side by side, or a single 50 x 50mm module, allowing installers to build bespoke wall outlet configurations rather than using fixed-format sockets.
Common in AV installations, home offices, and commercial premises where standard sockets cannot accommodate the required mix of connections, the modular faceplate acts as the visible mounting frame while the actual ports (HDMI, RJ45, USB, coaxial) clip into the aperture from behind. The square-edge design sits flush with the wall once the cover is screwed down, projecting 10.5mm from the finished surface. The plate includes an earth terminal for grounding where required.
The brushed chrome finish matches Knightsbridge's wider metal wiring accessory range, allowing the faceplate to sit alongside switches and sockets in the same finish family. Premium-grade steel construction and an integrated gasket provide a secure fit to the back box and resist flex when modules are inserted or cables are connected. The 25-year warranty reflects the durability expected from Knightsbridge's metal plate range.

Frequently Asked
What euro modules does this accept?
The 2-gang aperture accepts two 25 x 50mm euro modules side by side, or a single 50 x 50mm euro module. Common inserts include RJ45 DATA, HDMI, USB, coaxial TV, phone line, and optical audio modules. Modules are sold separately and clip into the aperture from behind the faceplate.
What back box depth is needed?
The required back box depth depends on which euro modules are used. Most DATA and HDMI modules require a 35mm minimum depth, while some USB charging modules need 47mm. Check the specific module's depth requirement before selecting a back box.
Can this be used in bathrooms?
The IP20 rating means the faceplate is suitable for dry internal areas only. It is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture ingress is a risk.
What other finishes are available in this range?
Knightsbridge produces modular faceplates in a range of finishes including polished chrome, matt black, brushed brass, white, and black nickel. Use the filters or search function to find other variants in stock at Niori.
