Description

The Knightsbridge 19-inch 1U CAT5e patch panel provides 24 RJ45 ports in a single rack unit, designed for structured cabling in data centres, server rooms and commercial network installations. Each port uses phosphor bronze contacts with 50-micron gold plating to maintain conductivity and resist corrosion over repeated plug insertion cycles rated to 750 connections per port.

The panel mounts to standard 19-inch server racks and network cabinets using the pressed steel frame with pre-drilled mounting holes at either end. The 31mm depth leaves clearance for cable management arms and patch leads at the rear without fouling adjacent rack equipment. The modular port blocks accept both 110 and Universal IDC terminations, allowing installers to use either punch-down style depending on existing cabling infrastructure and preferred tooling.

Compliant with ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-C.2 and ISO/IEC 11801 standards, the panel supports CAT5e data rates up to 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet and is rated for Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) delivery to connected devices. The black powder-coated steel construction and polycarbonate port inserts provide an IP20 rating, protecting against solid objects larger than 12.5mm while maintaining ventilation for rack airflow.

Frequently Asked

What rack depth is needed?

The panel is 31mm deep from the front mounting surface to the rear of the IDC terminals. Most 19-inch racks and wall-mount cabinets with 300mm or greater internal depth will accommodate the panel with clearance for patch leads and cable management.

Does it support PoE?

Yes. The panel is rated for Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) delivery, which allows it to pass power alongside data for compatible devices such as IP cameras, VoIP phones and wireless access points connected via the RJ45 ports.

What termination method does it use?

The panel accepts both 110 and Universal IDC punch-down terminations. This allows installers to use either termination style depending on the tools and cable standards already in use on site.

How many plug insertion cycles is it rated for?

Each RJ45 port is rated to over 750 plug insertion cycles. This makes the panel suitable for environments where patch leads are changed regularly, such as hot-desk office networks or test labs.
