Description

The Knightsbridge 10A fan isolator module is a single-width grid component in an anthracite finish, designed to provide triple-pole isolation for bathroom extractor fans, kitchen ventilation, and similar 230V 50Hz fan circuits. The module clips into the front of a compatible Knightsbridge grid mounting frame (sold separately), allowing it to be combined with switches, sockets and other grid modules on the same faceplate.

Triple-pole isolation switches both live and neutral lines plus the fan's third connection (typically used for timed or humidity-sensing circuits), providing complete circuit isolation when the fan needs servicing or replacement. The rocker is marked 'ON' at the base and 'OFF' at the top, with 'FAN ISOLATOR' embossed on the front. The module's 10A rating handles standard domestic and light commercial fan loads without issue.

The anthracite finish is a dark grey-black colour with a subtle texture that sits between matt and satin. The module body is constructed from ABS plastic with steel internal contacts, rated IP20 for indoor use and tested to a 1500A conditional short circuit current. The 35mm minimum back box depth requirement is standard for grid mounting frames, and the module's 24.8mm width allows two modules to fit side-by-side in a 2-gang grid frame or three in a 3-gang frame.
