The Knightsbridge 10A fan isolator key switch module provides triple-pole isolation for bathroom extractor fans, kitchen ventilation and other fixed fan installations. The key-operated switch prevents unauthorised operation, making it suitable for commercial premises, landlord installations and shared residential facilities where fan control needs to be restricted. The smoked bronze finish gives a warm metallic tone that pairs with contemporary and industrial interior schemes.

Designed to clip into Knightsbridge grid mounting frames (sold separately), the module occupies a single grid space in a multi-gang configuration, allowing fan isolation to be combined with standard switches, sockets or dimmer modules on the same plate. The triple-pole switching isolates live, neutral and earth simultaneously, providing a higher level of isolation than standard double-pole switches and meeting the requirements for certain commercial and industrial ventilation systems.

The module body is constructed from ABS plastic with steel contact internals and carries an IP20 rating for indoor dry location use. It measures 56.3mm high by 24.8mm wide, with a 17.3mm recessed depth behind the grid plate and a 2.5mm projection in front, giving a near-flush finish once installed in the frame. The 35mm minimum mounting box depth accommodates standard dry-lining or surface boxes.

The key-operated mechanism uses a removable key that can be withdrawn in the off position only, preventing the switch from being turned back on without the key present. This feature is particularly valued in rental properties where landlords need to control ventilation systems, or in commercial settings where fan operation is restricted to maintenance staff.
