Description

The Knightsbridge 10A fan isolator key switch module provides triple-pole switching for extraction fans, bathroom ventilators and kitchen hoods, with key-operated control to prevent unauthorised switching. The module clips into Knightsbridge grid mounting frames from the front, allowing installation or replacement without removing the entire grid assembly from the wall.

Designed for residential bathrooms, kitchens and commercial washrooms where ventilation systems need to be isolated for maintenance or cleaning, the triple-pole switching disconnects live, neutral and earth connections simultaneously. The key-operated rocker prevents accidental or unauthorised switching, making it suitable for shared facilities, care homes and commercial buildings where ventilation must remain on or off for specific periods.

The module measures 56.3mm high by 25mm wide, occupying a single grid position in Knightsbridge's modular grid system. The brushed chrome finish matches other modules in the same range, allowing mixed configurations of switches, sockets and isolators behind a single multi-gang grid plate. The 1500A conditional short circuit current rating provides protection under fault conditions, and the 25mm minimum mounting box depth allows installation in standard 35mm back boxes with space remaining for cable terminations.

Yes. The module clips into Knightsbridge grid mounting frames, which are sold separately. The frame is fixed to the back box first, then modules clip in from the front. This allows you to configure multiple switches, sockets and isolators in a single multi-gang plate.
