Description

The Sonoma Valley is a 3-light chandelier from Feiss with scrolled metalwork in an aged tortoise shell finish, accented with gold leaf detailing on the canopy and shade caps. Three cream ribbed glass shades hang downward from curved arms that spiral outward from a central column, each shade fitting a single E27 bulb (sold separately). The 520mm diameter and 470mm body height suit dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher.

The adjustable drop ranges from 565mm to 2090mm depending on how much of the 1524mm chain is used during installation, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining surface or hung lower in double-height spaces. The scrollwork references wrought iron vineyard gates, with tight spirals at the arm ends and broader curves connecting to the central stem. The tortoise shell finish — a mottled brown with darker and lighter zones — pairs with the warm cream of the ribbed glass to give the chandelier a lived-in rather than pristine appearance.

Each glass shade is ribbed vertically, which diffuses the light from the bulb while still allowing some directional downlight. The gold leaf accents on the acanthus-style canopy and the decorative caps above each shade add contrast against the darker metalwork. At 60W maximum per socket, the chandelier handles standard LED or filament bulbs; most users pair it with 6-8W warm-white LEDs at 2700K for dining applications. The Feiss Sonoma Valley range includes matching wall lights and larger chandeliers if coordinated fittings are needed across a room.

Frequently Asked

What bulbs does the Sonoma Valley take?

Each of the three lights takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers use 6-8W warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K for a traditional dining room feel.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 565mm to 2090mm. For a dining table the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The chain can be shortened during installation to suit lower ceilings.

Is the finish solid bronze or painted metal?

The metalwork is steel with an applied aged tortoise shell finish — a mottled brown coating that simulates aged wrought iron. The gold accents on the canopy and shade caps are gold leaf applied over the base metal.

Can the glass shades be cleaned?

Yes. The ribbed glass shades can be wiped with a soft cloth and glass cleaner once the bulbs are removed and the power is isolated. The shades are fixed to the metalwork with decorative caps, so they do not detach for cleaning without partial disassembly.
