Description

The Points is a 220mm linear track light designed for magnetic Exility track systems, housing a concealed 12W LED that projects light through a 36° beam angle. The white aluminium body measures 22cm long by 2.2cm wide by 4.4cm tall, with the LED recessed behind an anti-glare aperture that directs 3000K warm white light onto surfaces below while keeping the light source itself hidden from direct view.

Designed for retail, gallery, and residential accent lighting, the Points fits any magnetic Exility track and can be repositioned along the track length without tools. The recessed LED aperture reduces glare when viewed from typical standing or seated positions, making the fitting suitable for areas where occupants spend extended time under the light. The 48V DC low-voltage operation runs from a compatible magnetic track system's power supply, allowing multiple Points modules to be combined on a single track run.

The white powder-coated aluminium finish provides a neutral backdrop that recedes visually against white ceilings, directing attention to the lit objects rather than the fitting itself. The 12W LED output at 3000K colour temperature produces warm-toned accent light that suits warmer interior schemes, wood tones, and textiles without the cooler blue bias of daylight-temperature LEDs. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments.

Frequently Asked

What track system does this fit?

The Points is designed for Maytoni's magnetic Exility track system and operates on 48V DC low voltage supplied by the track. It will not fit standard 240V mains track systems or other manufacturers' magnetic tracks without confirming compatibility first.

Can the light be dimmed?

Dimming capability depends on the Exility track system's power supply and driver. The Points module itself is LED-based and typically supports dimming when paired with a compatible dimmable driver on the track system.

What beam angle does it produce?

The recessed LED projects a 36° beam angle, which is a medium-narrow beam suitable for accent lighting on artwork, shelving, or feature walls. This is narrower than general ambient lighting but wider than tight spotlighting.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only. For bathroom zones, an IP44 or higher-rated fitting is required.
