Description

Some ceiling fittings are meant to be looked at and some are meant to get on with the job quietly. This is the second kind: a shallow white fixture with three E27 holders set around a circular plate roughly 22cm across, sitting tight to the ceiling so nothing hangs down into the room. It is sold ready for a shade of your choosing, which is why the holders sit close together, near enough to vanish beneath a single drum or bowl. The fitting is earthed and made for dry interior rooms.

We reach for it in hallways, landings and bedrooms where a pendant would hang too low, and in box rooms and smaller kitchens where headroom is short. It suits anyone who has already settled on a shade and simply wants a sound electrical part to hang it from, and anyone fitting out a rental or a loft conversion where a long drop is out of the question. We would put LED GLS lamps in it, up to 20W in each holder, and it will dim if you pair suitable lamps with a compatible dimmer.

The white finish is flat and unfussy, meant to read as part of the ceiling rather than an object stuck on it. An occasional pass with a dry duster keeps it looking fresh; skip sprays and damp cloths, and give lamps a moment to cool before you swap them. It carries a one year warranty. We also stock a wider white version of this flush fitting, and the Baymont range carries on into polished chrome, antique brass and satin nickel across semi flush fittings and linear pendants if you would rather the metalwork showed. Lamps are not included.
