Ziva 6 Light Glass Cluster Pendant Light - Clear

The Ziva six light cluster is six glass teardrops on one round brass ceiling plate, each on its own black fabric flex cut to a different length so the six spiral down through the space below. Every shade is blown wide at the base and drawn in to a narrow neck with a brass collar, in clear glass thin enough to show the whole bulb. The flexes come at 65cm, 85cm, 105cm, 125cm, 145cm and 165cm, so the arrangement drops 200cm in all and spreads 45cm across.

Six small sources at six heights do what one large shade cannot: they occupy the vertical, so a stairwell or a double height hall is lit down its length rather than at a single level. Clear glass gives six bright points rather than six glowing shapes, which keeps the arrangement light in a pale room. Over a dining table it hangs as a centrepiece with the lowest shade well above head height. It takes six E14 bulbs up to 40W each, it is suitable for use with a dimmer switch, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

The glass is recycled and blown by hand, so the line of each teardrop and the thickness of its wall differ across the six on one fitting. The cords can be adjusted by a qualified electrician, and at 5.56kg the ceiling fixing has to carry it. The Ziva range runs to six cluster pendants in clear, green smoke and light smoke brown, in this six light size and in a smaller three shade one. Bulbs are not included.

How many ceiling points does it need?

One. All six flexes run into a single round brass ceiling plate.

How many bulbs does it take?

Six, one in each shade, all E14 and up to 40W each. They are not included.

Can the six heights be changed?

Yes. The flexes come at 65cm, 85cm, 105cm, 125cm, 145cm and 165cm, and a qualified electrician can adjust them.

How do I clean it?

Switch it off and let the bulbs cool, then wipe each shade with a soft dry cloth in a circular motion. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners off the glass.
