Description
The Zephyr is a trimless recessed downlight cast in gypsum, made to disappear into the ceiling. This is the twin version: a rectangular plaster body with two square light openings, set into a plasterboard ceiling and skimmed over so once painted only the two apertures show. Integrated LEDs behind them throw direct 56 degree beams downward, reading as a pair of clean warm squares of light with no fitting visible around them.
The light is a warm 3000K white at over 90 CRI, so colours stay true, and the module gives 2400 lumens of raw output for around 1340 lumens of usable light on a 50,000 hour rating. It runs on a separate driver, which is included, and switches simply on and off rather than dimming. Being gypsum, the matt white face can be painted or varnished to match the ceiling exactly, and the LED module is replaceable by a qualified installer.
The fitting is a 240mm by 138.5mm rectangle that recesses 54mm into the ceiling void, rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms and cleared from 0 to plus 40 degrees. We supply it with the LED module and driver ready to wire; the two openings cover more of a run than the single Zephyr, so it suits a hallway, kitchen or living room where you want flush, frameless light across a wider span.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Zephyr give?
Two clean, direct downward beams. Integrated LEDs throw 56 degree cones of warm 3000K white light through two square openings, at over 90 CRI so colours read accurately. Because the fitting is trimless, the light appears to come from the ceiling itself with no frame around it.
What does trimless plaster-in mean, and is a bulb included?
The body is gypsum, set into a plasterboard ceiling and plastered over so no rim is visible; the matt white face can then be painted to match. The LED module is built in and included, along with a separate driver, so there is no bulb to buy. The module is replaceable by a qualified installer.
Can it be dimmed, and is it for indoor use?
It switches on and off and is not dimmable. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms and cleared from 0 to plus 40 degrees, so it suits interior ceilings rather than bathrooms or outdoors.
How big is it and where does it suit?
It is a 240mm by 138.5mm rectangle with two openings, recessing 54mm into the ceiling. Flush and frameless, it works in a hallway, kitchen or living room where you want discreet warm light over a wider span and no visible fitting, in a paintable white finish.
