Description

The Zephira is a 1205mm linear pendant with three opal white glass globes hung from a slim brass bar. Each globe houses a G9 bulb (sold separately) and is suspended on a separate brass stem from the main rail, allowing the light to be distributed evenly across the length of the bar. The opal glass diffuses the bulb glow while maintaining enough brightness for task lighting over a kitchen island or dining table.

Designed for kitchen islands, peninsulas and dining tables typically 1.6-2m in length, the Zephira hangs from a 2000mm cable that can be shortened during installation to set the bar 700-900mm above the worktop or table surface. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for general indoor use. The three lights are dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and appropriate G9 dimmable bulbs, allowing the brightness to be adjusted for task work versus ambient dining.

The brass bar measures 1205mm end to end with a slender 150mm front-to-back projection and 170mm overall height including the glass globes. Each globe is approximately 150mm diameter and the opal finish is uniform across all three, giving a consistent appearance when lit. The brass finish on the bar and stems shows a warm metallic tone that complements both contemporary and transitional interiors. We stock Ideal Lux's fitting, made in Italy, and it carries a 5-year warranty.

The fitting takes three G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. G9 bulbs are available in LED, halogen and eco-halogen variants. For dimming, ensure you use dimmable G9 bulbs paired with a compatible dimmer switch.

The 1205mm bar suits kitchen islands and dining tables typically 1.6-2m in length. For longer islands, consider pairing two Zephira fittings or choosing a longer linear pendant from the same range if available.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

Yes. The 2000mm cable can be shortened during installation to suit your ceiling height. The fitting typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface of a kitchen island or dining table.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The 170mm overall height of the fitting plus the desired drop above the table means a minimum ceiling height of approximately 2.2m is needed for comfortable headroom. In rooms with ceilings below 2.4m, the cable should be shortened to avoid the fitting hanging too low.
