Zareon LED Small Linear Alabaster Suspension Light - Soft White

The Zareon Small is a 1m linear suspension light built around a single 100mm-diameter cylinder of natural Spanish alabaster, suspended horizontally on two slim cables from discreet ceiling fixings. An integrated 24W LED runs the length of the stone, casting warm 3000K light through the alabaster so the cylinder itself becomes the diffuser rather than a separate shade.

Sized for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, narrower dining tables and rectangular hallways, this small linear format suits surfaces between 1-1.5m in length. The 1500mm cable drop is adjustable on installation, allowing the stone to sit 700-800mm above an island or dining surface in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The horizontal orientation washes light evenly along the surface below rather than concentrating it in a single pool.

Each cylinder is cut from a solid block of Spanish alabaster, so the cloudlike veining, mineral inclusions and translucency vary between individual pieces. The stone reads as soft white in daylight with subtle grey and warm taupe markings, then warms noticeably once lit as the LED reveals the deeper veining within. Slim cable suspension and minimal metal hardware keep visual weight on the stone itself.

What length surface does it suit?

The 1m stone length suits kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dining tables between roughly 1-1.5m long. For longer islands of 1.8m or more, a larger linear pendant or two pendants run in line tend to balance the surface better.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each cylinder is cut from a single block of natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, mineral inclusions, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual fittings. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect.

What ceiling height does it need?

The 1500mm cable suspension is adjustable on installation. Above an island or dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. Cables can be shortened during fitting for lower ceilings.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
