Description

The Yuyun S/9C/I is a tall fabric LED pendant light made of nine stacked tiers, large and small in turn, each a shade of beige cotton thread woven over a fine frame. Together they form one column 156cm tall and 42cm across, hung from a slim ceiling cable with a maximum drop of 200cm. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 64.8W and gives 2099 lumens at 2400K, a very warm light, with a CRI of 90, so wood, fabric and skin look true beneath it. A foot dimmer is built into the cord.

We see it in a dining room or a living room, where one tall pendant draws the eye upwards and gives the room a warm centre of light. Hang it in a corner, beside a sofa or over the end of a dining table, and it reads as a column of lit lanterns, the woven cotton softening the light so it glows rather than glares. At 156cm tall it needs a ceiling with height to spare, and the cord from its base runs down to the foot dimmer, so you can bring the light down for a quiet evening with a press of the foot. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

It is made of aluminium, steel and cotton, with the cotton thread forming the nine tiers, and the Satin Beige & Beige Thread finish keeps the whole column in one soft tone. It runs on 230V mains and is Class II, which means it is double insulated. It is wired in to the mains, which is a job for a qualified electrician. Before you order, measure from ceiling to floor and check that a 156cm column on a drop of up to 200cm will hang where you want it.
