Description

The Yuyun S/9C is a tall pendant light made of nine stacked shades of woven cotton thread, alternating large and small, on a slim core of aluminium and steel. Its finish is Satin Beige & Beige Thread, so the metal and the weave share one soft, warm tone. It is 156cm tall and 42cm across, and it hangs on a drop of up to 200cm. The light is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or fit: 64.8W gives 2099lm at a warm 2400K, glowing through the open weave, with a CRI of 90 so wood, fabric and skin tones look natural.

Its height makes it a fine choice for a dining room or a living room with a high ceiling, where it can hang as a tall column of warm light. At 156cm tall on a drop of up to 200cm, measure from ceiling to table or floor before you settle on its spot. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. The pendant comes without its canopy: to run it you need a Yuyun power-supply canopy with its 24V driver, sold separately, which takes the mains supply and feeds the pendant at 24V DC. Without it, the pendant cannot be powered.

The core is aluminium and steel and the shades are cotton thread, woven in an open pattern that lets the warm light through. It is a Class III fitting running at 24V DC, and it is for a qualified electrician to install, wired in to the mains through the driver in its canopy. Order the canopy together with the pendant, so your electrician has both parts at once and the whole fitting goes up in one visit.
