Description

The Yuyun S/5C is a fabric LED pendant light built as a tall column of five woven shades, alternating large and small, stacked one beneath another on a single cable. It is made of aluminium, steel and cotton, with beige cotton thread forming each tier, in the Satin Beige & Beige Thread finish. It is 96cm tall and 42cm across, and hangs on a drop of up to 200cm. The light source is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change: 36W gives 1170 lumens at 2400K, a very warm light, and a CRI of 90 keeps wood, fabric and skin tones looking true.

We see it in a dining room, hung over the table, or in a living room, where its tall shape brings warm light to a seating area. Its height suits rooms with ceiling to spare. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. The pendant is supplied without its canopy and will not work on its own: you need a Yuyun power-supply canopy with its 24V driver, sold separately. The canopy carries the driver that turns the mains supply into the 24V DC the pendant runs on, and the pendant has no canopy of its own to connect it.

Construction is aluminium, steel and cotton, and the open weave of beige cotton thread lets the light through softly. It is a Class III fitting running at 24V DC. Power comes from the mains, wired in by a qualified electrician through the 24V DC driver in the canopy, so have the canopy and the pendant fitted at the same time. Before you order, measure from the ceiling to the table top or floor: at 96cm tall, on a drop of up to 200cm, the pendant needs room to hang well clear of heads.
