Description

The Yuyun S/13S is a tall fabric LED pendant light: one slender column of thirteen woven tiers, each a shallow double cone of beige cotton thread, stacked one above another on a fine metal stem. It is 173cm tall and 26cm across, and hangs on a cable with a maximum drop of 200cm. The light source is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. At 93.6W it gives 2922 lumens of very warm 2400K light that glows amber through the weave, and with a CRI of 90, wood, skin and fabric keep their true colours. The finish is Satin Beige & Beige Thread.

We see it in a dining room or a living room: hung beside a wall, in a corner or over a table, wherever there is the height to show its full length. Its very warm light suits evenings and long dinners. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. The pendant comes without its canopy, and you will need a Yuyun power-supply canopy with its 24V driver, sold separately. The canopy fixes to the ceiling and houses the driver, which turns the mains supply into the 24V DC the pendant runs on; without it, the pendant cannot be hung or lit.

The frame is aluminium and steel and the tiers are beige cotton thread, worked over the frame so the light comes through the open weave. It is a Class III fitting that runs at 24V DC. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, through the 24V DC driver in its canopy, so it is worth ordering the canopy alongside the pendant and booking the electrician once both are with you. Before you choose a spot, measure your ceiling against its height of 173cm and its maximum drop of 200cm.
