Description

The Yuyun S/13C/I is a fabric LED pendant light built as one tall column of thirteen woven tiers, larger and smaller in turn, each a shallow double-cone of beige thread around a slim central stem. Its finish is Satin Beige & Beige Thread, a soft, natural tone that sits easily with wood, linen and plaster. It is 216cm tall and 42cm across, with a maximum drop of 200cm. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 3029 lumens from 93.6W at 2400K, a very warm white, and a CRI of 90 means colours and skin tones look true under it.

We see it in a living room or dining room, hung in a corner, beside a sofa or at the end of a sideboard, where it can be seen whole from across the room. At 216cm tall it needs a generous ceiling height, so it is at its best in a room with high ceilings. The integrated foot dimmer on its cord lets you set the brightness without reaching for a switch, from full light while you read or lay the table to a low glow later in the evening.

It is made from aluminium, steel and cotton, with the beige thread woven over each tier so the shades read as soft, open texture rather than solid fabric. It runs on 230V mains, is a Class II fitting and is for a qualified electrician to wire in. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
