Description

The Yuyun S/11L/I is a tall pendant light built from eleven stacked shades, each a shallow, double-cone tier of beige thread, set one above the next on a slim central stem. It is finished in Satin Beige & Beige Thread, with an integrated Foot Dimmer on Cord, and is made of aluminium, steel and cotton. The whole pendant is 217cm tall and 42cm across, and it hangs on a drop of up to 200cm. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 2640lm from 79.2W at a warm 2400K, with a CRI of 90, so wood, fabric and skin tones look natural under it.

Because it is so long and narrow, it works best where there is height to fill: in a living room beside a sofa or above a low shelf, or in a dining room at the end of a table or in a corner that wants a tall column of soft light. The LED shines through the open thread of each tier, giving a warm, gentle glow rather than a hard beam. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. The Foot Dimmer sits on its cord, so you can lower the light for a quiet evening with a touch of your foot.

The frame is aluminium and steel, and each shade is cotton thread drawn across it, so the pendant looks light and open while the metal keeps every tier in line. The Satin Beige and the Beige Thread sit close in tone, so the column reads as one soft, warm shape whether it is lit or not. It runs at 230V and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. Choose your drop to suit the ceiling and the furniture beneath it, up to 200cm.
