Description

The Ypsilon is a slim LED wall light in a brushed brass finish, a single flat blade that rises at an angle from a narrow rectangular base fixed to the wall. It stands 61cm tall and comes out 14cm from the wall, with a base block 20.5cm tall and 3cm wide. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 13W and gives 1046 lumens of 3000K light, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so colours, skin tones and wood grain look true under it.

With its narrow base and modest projection, it sits comfortably beside a bed, either side of a fireplace in a living room, or along a dining room wall where you want light without a fitting that takes up space. A pair works well flanking a headboard or a sideboard, and the angled blade adds a clean line of brushed brass to a plain wall even when the light is off. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It is not dimmable, so it goes on a plain on/off switch rather than a dimmer.

The finish is brushed brass, with a fine grain and a soft sheen rather than a mirror shine, carried over the blade and the base alike so the whole piece reads as one simple line on the wall. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician.
