Description

The Yerevan is a flush ceiling light with a single white glass globe, 25cm across, carried close to the ceiling on a short fitter. A gallery with small screws holds the globe at its neck, and the whole light is 32cm tall, so it keeps a low, tidy line where a hanging pendant would drop too far into the room. It comes in six finishes: Polished Chrome, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Polished Brass, Satin Brass and Satin Chrome, so you can match it to cool or warm metalwork elsewhere in the house.

We would put it in a hallway, where a light that sits close to the ceiling keeps the globe clear of opening doors and tall visitors, and the round white shape looks right from the moment you step inside. In a longer hall, two or three can run in a line along the ceiling. The finishes let you work with what is already there: Polished Chrome or Satin Chrome beside white paintwork and modern door handles, Antique Brass or Antique Silver in an older house, Polished Brass or Satin Brass where you want a warmer note. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The Yerevan is made from brass and glass, and each light is made to order for you in Ireland. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. Because it is wired in to the mains, it is for a qualified electrician to install. It takes one E27 bulb, up to 60W per bulb, and bulbs are sold separately, so have one ready for the day it goes up.
