Description
A two door sideboard in mango wood, 122cm wide, 85cm tall and 41cm deep, under a walnut wash that deepens the grain and leaves the figure showing through. Both door fronts are reeded: close-set vertical mouldings running the full height of each panel, so the front reads as a run of shallow ridges rather than a flat face. A plain block handle projects from the outer edge of each door, and the carcass stands on four short square legs that lift it clear of the floor.
At 122cm it sits under a mirror or a row of pictures in a hallway, takes a lamp and a stack of post on a landing, or stands at the end of a bedroom. Behind the doors there is one full width wooden shelf dividing the inside into two bays, so the space is a single long run rather than a set of compartments. It is 41cm deep, which is shallow enough to pass in a corridor, and it weighs 41.5kg.
It is mango wood throughout, carcass, doors and shelf. The walnut wash goes deeper where the grain is open and stays paler where the grain is close, so the tone runs unevenly across each panel and will keep shifting over the years. The reeding is cut into the door panels rather than applied onto them. The Yasha range also holds a cabinet with the same reeded front.

Frequently Asked
How big is it?
122cm wide, 85cm tall and 41cm deep.
What is inside?
One full width wooden shelf, dividing the inside into two open bays behind the two doors.
What is the finish?
A walnut wash over mango wood, which goes deeper into the open grain and stays paler on the closer grain.
What are the handles?
Plain blocks, one standing proud of the outer edge of each door.
Is there a matching piece?
Yes. The Yasha range also holds a cabinet with the same reeded front.
How do I look after it?
Rub an edible oil such as olive or walnut into the surface with a cloth to feed and protect the wood, bearing in mind that oil may darken the tone. The finish can mark where it meets liquid, so blot any spillage immediately with a dry cloth, and do not use chemical cleaners.
