Description

Wirmane is a slim LED table lamp made from two offset vertical bars in black, linked by a pair of short crossbars and standing on a flat square base. The body is aluminium and steel, and a white plastic diffuser runs the length of the shorter bar, where the integrated LED sits. It stands 47cm tall and takes up a space just 12cm long and 12cm wide, so it fits where a lamp with a broad shade would crowd the surface. The LED is 6.5W and gives a warm white light at 3000K. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, away from water.

Because the footprint is so small, Wirmane suits the places where a wide shade will not fit: a narrow console in a hallway, a busy desk in a home office, a bookshelf or a bedside table. The open, ladder-like frame looks like a piece of graphic art even when the lamp is dark, and once it is lit, the bright bar draws a clean vertical line of light against the wall.
