Description

Wiggle is a wall mirror 133cm high by 93cm wide, cut to a wavy outline with an engraved line following the edge just inside it. The waves run round all four sides so there is no straight edge anywhere on the piece, and the engraved line repeats the outline a few centimetres in, which reads as a drawn border on a shape that has no frame.

It suits a hallway, a bedroom or a bathroom, where it is rated to go. It hangs in four directions, and since the outline is regular the rotation is a matter of where the waves sit against a corner or a run of furniture rather than which way is up. At 15kg it is a one person lift, and at 2cm deep it sits close to the wall, with two screws, washers and plugs supplied and nothing to assemble. Give it space either side: a wavy edge against a straight one is the whole effect and it is lost in a tight alcove.

The mirror is mirrored glass with an engraved line, frameless. Clean it with cleaner sprayed onto a soft cloth rather than onto the glass, and take the cloth along the engraved line rather than across it so the ground surface is not left streaked. The engraving catches light at a different angle from the face, which is what keeps the inner outline visible against a pale wall where the cut edge alone would be lost. Seven year warranty, made in Europe.
