Description

The Waves is a single pendant made from one continuous band bent into a soft, irregular wave and closed into a loose ring. It hangs flat on two fine steel cables, with the light carried along the lower edge behind an opal rubber diffuser, so the source stays hidden and the glow reads as a bright line tracing the curve. Lit, warm light falls onto the surface beneath while the gold band catches a little of it against the ceiling; unlit, it holds its shape as a wavy metal ring with a warm gold sheen.

This is the largest of the three Waves sizes, measuring 1556mm long and 870mm deep, so the band runs through more undulations across the widest loop in the range. The cables set the hanging height anywhere from 450mm to 2093mm. The flat, open form is meant to be viewed from below and to sit over something long, so it suits a large dining table, a kitchen island or an open-plan seating area in a room with the width to carry the full sweep of the wave.

The ceiling cap, frame and supports are matt varnished metal in gold, with steel suspension cables and a PVC cable, and the diffuser is opal rubber. An integrated LED gives 5500 lumens at 3000K warm white and is rated to 30,000 hours, so there is no bulb to buy and it lights the moment it is wired. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

What kind of light does the Waves give?

A warm downward wash. The integrated LED runs along the underside of the band behind an opal diffuser, giving 5500 lumens at 3000K warm white as a bright line that follows the wavy loop and lights the surface below.

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The LED is integrated and included, so there is no separate lamp to fit. It arrives ready to wire and light.

Is it dimmable?

The integrated LED is not stated as dimmable, so we would treat it as a fixed-output fitting unless a compatible dimming driver is confirmed. We can advise before you order.
