The Wasmane is a linear LED pendant light in black, made of two slender wave-shaped arms that cross and curve past each other as they hang from a rectangular ceiling canopy on two fine wires. It measures 115cm long and 7cm wide, with an overall height of 120cm, so it is sized for a long table or an island rather than a small corner. The body is steel and plastic in black, and each arm carries a white plastic diffuser along its underside, where the integrated LEDs sit. At 20W it gives 2,500lm of neutral white light at 4000K. It is rated IP20, which settles where it can go: indoors, in dry rooms only.

That long, gently curving line follows the shape of a dining table, and that is where we think it works hardest: hung over the centre, it spreads light along the length of the table so everyone seated gets the same clear view of their plate. It suits a kitchen island or a long desk in a home office just as well, because 2,500lm is a generous output for a working surface. The 4000K light is crisp rather than warm, which helps with reading, homework and preparing food. As an IP20 fitting, it belongs in dry living spaces such as a dining room, living room or study, and away from bathrooms.
