Description

The Vista is a single-spotlight wall fitting in powder-coated grey aluminium, built for exterior use with an IP44 rating. The cylindrical head houses a GU10 lamp (sold separately) behind a tempered glass front, and the head rotates on a ball joint fixed to a circular wall plate. The joint allows the beam to be directed at pathways, garden features, door frames or architectural detail.

Designed for residential entrance areas, garden walls, courtyard perimeters and terrace exteriors, the Vista provides directed task and accent lighting rather than area flood. The 90mm height and 110mm projection keep the fitting compact against the wall, while the ball-joint articulation gives a wide range of aiming angles without needing to reposition the back plate. The IP44 rating protects the internal components against solid objects above 1mm and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for covered outdoor positions and exposed wall locations.

The grey powder-coat finish on the aluminium body resists corrosion and UV degradation in typical UK outdoor conditions. The tempered glass front is impact-resistant and sealed against moisture ingress at the rim joint. The Vista accepts any standard GU10 lamp up to the maximum wattage shown in the specification table, giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or low-energy GU10 sources depending on the required brightness and colour temperature. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific GU10 lamp used — check the lamp specification before pairing with a dimmer circuit.

What GU10 lamp does it take?

The Vista accepts any standard GU10 lamp up to the maximum wattage specified. GU10 lamps are sold separately. Most installations use a 4-6W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for exterior accent lighting, though higher-output lamps can be used for security or task lighting.

Can it be used in exposed outdoor locations?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects against solid objects above 1mm and water splashes from any direction. This makes the Vista suitable for external walls, covered porches, garden walls and courtyard perimeters exposed to rain. It is not submersible and should not be installed where it will be submerged or subject to pressure jets.

Is the spotlight head adjustable after installation?

Yes. The cylindrical head rotates on a ball joint fixed to the wall plate, allowing the beam direction to be changed without re-wiring or moving the back plate. The joint holds position once set.

Is dimming supported?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 lamp used. Many LED GU10 lamps are dimmable when paired with an LED-compatible dimmer, but not all. Check the lamp specification before connecting to a dimmer circuit.
