This LED wall light is a slim white bar with gently curled ends, carried on a rectangular chrome bracket that holds it out from the wall. The body is steel in a polished chrome finish and the shade is white plastic, so the light comes through soft and even rather than as bright points. It measures 40.5cm long and 7cm high and stands 13cm out from the wall, a neat size for running along the top of a mirror. The light source is integrated LED, two lights of 3.2W each giving 300 lumens apiece at 4000K, a clean neutral white. Its IP20 rating settles where it can go: indoors and dry, away from splashing water.

Because of that IP20 rating we would put it over a dressing table mirror, in a bedroom, hallway or dressing room, rather than beside a basin, bath or shower. The neutral white suits the jobs where you want to see colours clearly, such as getting ready in the morning, choosing clothes or doing make-up, and the slim bar keeps the wall looking tidy. The bracket sets the bar 13cm forward of the wall, bringing the light out towards whoever stands at the mirror, which is what most people want from a mirror light.
