Description

The Villeggi is a linear pendant light with three slim, gently curved light bars hung on fine wires from a long rectangular ceiling canopy, with two small end canopies holding the outer wires. The body is aluminium and steel in a matt brass finish, the light comes through a white plastic shade, and the light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit. It measures 122cm long, 10cm wide and 120cm tall overall. Rated IP20, it belongs indoors in dry rooms, so it suits a kitchen or living space rather than a bathroom or a porch.

We think it looks most at home over a kitchen island, where the three overlapping bars spread light along the length of the worktop rather than pooling it in one spot. With 3,600 lumens from 22W there is plenty of light for preparing food, and because it is dimmable you can lower the level for a quieter mood. The adjustable colour temperature is the feature we rate most highly: 2700K gives a warm, relaxed white, 4000K a cooler, crisper white for close work, and 6500K a bright daylight tone. One fitting covers cooking, eating and relaxing in the evening, with no need for a second set of lights.

The body pairs aluminium with steel under the matt brass finish, and the fine suspension wires keep the bars looking as though they float beneath the canopy. There is no switch on the light itself; it is switched at the wall, so it works from the room's own light switch. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and carries energy class E. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 1.277KG.
